On July 3, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., the extraordinary General Assembly of the European Federation of Education Inspectors' Unions (FESIE) was held in Nicosia to admit the union representing education inspectors in Cyprus to the federation. The inspectors who are part of FESIE's governing bodies, namely the President of the General Assembly and the President of the Executive Committee, were received at the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth, where the General Assembly was held, and had the opportunity to meet and talk to the Minister, as well as other ministerial officials. Working meetings will soon be scheduled between FESIE members (Executive Committee) and members of the European Parliament, in order to present the European charter and convey concerns about the situation of some education inspectorates at European level and, consequently, inspectors, careers and working conditions.
The union representing Cyprus Education Inspectors will be joining the European Federation of Education Inspectors Unions (FESIE), on the 3rd July 2025. This membership, announced by the President of the Secondary Education Inspectors branch, Chrystalla Koukouma, represents an important step in strengthening the European union of education inspectors.

On the 20th November 2024, an Extraordinary General Assembly of FESIE was held, led by the President of the General Assembly, to approve the Annual Activity Plan for 2025/2026, presented by the Executive Committee, in accordance with the Statutes. The Plan was unanimously approved.
